The eBusiness User Experience team at our large financial services client in Hartford is seeking a User Experience Designer to help continue evolving and enhancing the companies digital experience. This is a TEMP TO PERM opportunity.

- The individual will be responsible for designing an experience from concept through production, working closely with other designers and researchers, as well as product management, engineering, and executives.


- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications that describe the user experience to stakeholders, facilitate usability research, and direct development and implementation.

- Follow user-centered design principles to produce high-quality designs, from concept to execution. This requires skill and experience in Information Architecture and Interaction Design.

- Synthesize business objectives, user research and metrics to help set direction for key digital properties for a Dow 30, Fortune 100 company.

- Effectively use research to iteratively test, refine, and evolve design solutions.

- Collaborate with fellow designers, researchers, and/or external vendors to constantly refine our process, methods, and best-practices.

- Have a passion for creating designs that are simple, elegant, useful, and usable.

- Understand different form factors (smartphone, tablet, desktop) and how to appropriately design for them.


- 5+ years of experience as a UX designer or similar role demonstrating expertise in digital projects.

- Bachelor-s degree in interaction design, industrial design, human factors, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.

- The ability to clearly communicate and explain design decisions and recommendations.

- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing a consistently high level of attention to detail.

- Experience working with agile methods.

- Experience using Axure for prototype development.
