UX Designer

The UX Designer will constantly collaborate with agency and client teams. This person will contribute user experience expertise and assets during the conception and delivery of digital solutions for mobile, tablet and desktop devices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-
solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Execute experience designs as part of a multi-disciplinary team
● Contribute highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to each engagement
● Participate in hands-on experience design workshops with clients; help collect and digest requirements in order to formulate recommended solutions with UX Strategist(s)
● Conduct research and assist with user testing and user interviews to gain consumer insights and optimize the consumer experience
● Effectively communicate research findings, experience designs and rationale
● Create sketches, sitemaps, taxonomies, user flows, wireframes, user stories and high-fidelity design specifications
● Collaborate directly with clients, project managers, visual designers and developers
● Cultivate a positive, solutions-oriented approach to resolving new and difficult challenges

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

● UI design for complex software applications, web and mobile products that leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices
● Strong ability to conceptualize and visually communicate
● Exceptional production value and attention to detail
● Experience with UI design patterns and standard user-centered design methodologies
● Expertise in interaction design, information architecture and visual design
● Skilled at rapid, iterative prototyping and Lean Startup / Lean UX principles
● Strong written and verbal communications skills
● Understanding of common software project management and development practices
● Familiar with Agile methodology
● Formally educated in Interaction Design or similar field with related work experience
