UX Designer

Our client, a company in the education/publishing space, is looking for a UX Designer! This is a 3 month contract to start that could go perm if both parties are happy! Onsite in Boston (Back Bay area). Start date is as soon as possible.

They need someone who can handle wireframing, interaction design and visual design. If this person can code prototypes, that’s a bonus. This will be for online work, not print. It’s a very small team there and they will be working directly with the Product team within the Technology group. Although, this person will also work in conjunction with an Art Director to help set overall guidelines.

The UX Designer will have to be articulate enough to describe their designs and decisions at design reviews and iteration meetings.

They have a big project in process now where they're designing an online learning management system/web app similar to Blackboard (but on a much smaller scale). They need someone who understands design and architecture, can manage work flows, and look through screens while thinking about it from a usability and accessibility standpoint.

This is a hands on role - the UX designer will plug into their existing in-house engineering team.

Requirements:
- Experience designing for web apps
- Higher ed/education background a huge plus
- Fluency in Spanish and French, or familiarities with the languages, a plus

They are potentially open to candidates working 1 day/week from home but otherwise they will be required to work onsite during normal business hours.
