We are looking for a UX Designer to work for a huge global communications company based in central London.
This is an ASAP start date and will run until the end of June 2014 with the possibility of it rolling on.
Pay rate £300 - £350 per day.

We are seeking a UX Designer to join our client’s design team. Reporting to the Design Lead, the UX Designer is responsible for delivering world-class designs from concept through to realisation. Collaborating with engineering and product management and marketing he/she creates and delivers enjoyable, practical, scalable and sustainable communications experiences and the overall product portfolio.

The successful candidate will need to have:
• Broad range of project skills – working across different platforms
• Strong stakeholder management
• Self-sufficient
• Have a complete UI experience background
• Good mix of marketing and product knowledge
• Experience of working within responsive design
• Ideally have client AND agency experience
• Great communication skills
• Ecommerce experience
• Experience working within Agile processes

You will be joining a tight-knit team who sit within a large open floor. The role is open due to an increased workload.

• Our client enables the world’s conversations. Millions of individuals and businesses worldwide use our client’s product for video and calls, instant messages and to share files with each other.
• The client is product-focused in its approach to delivering multi-modal voice, video and text communications. The designers are responsible and accountable for delivering great and relevant products to market by collaborating with product managers to create new, innovative products and by working directly with engineering to build those products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with the design lead, product management, engineering management and marketing to set the product direction of the site.
• Deliver world-class interaction designs, from initial concept through to launch and evaluation of success.
• Produce design visualizations to help everyone understand what the best experience should be: storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, vision pieces and so on.
• Work closely and constructively with product management, visual designers, editors, engineers, user researchers and marketing to iterate and deliver flawlessly on what has been proposed.

Candidate Profile:
Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Talent always speaks louder than experience. We’re looking for someone with sharp interaction design skills and an impressive portfolio of desktop web and mobile web experiences.
• You are fluent with online interaction paradigms and core online experiences.
• You are experienced at compelling storytelling in an online environment
• You can produce stunning, interactive experience visualisations as well as precise design documentation.
• You are proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Omnigraffle, Axure, Flash, HTML etc.
• This is not a visual design role, but we do expect a high degree of visual literacy in order to produce suitably impressive documentation and ideation materials.

• You can communicate your work to developers, third parties and engineers clearly and constructively.
• You are a passionate advocate of user centred design.
• You are able to work well within a larger design team with interaction designers and visual designers, and also working as part of a team with other parts or the organisation, such as development and product management.

Qualifications:
• MA (or equivalent) in design or user experience
• User experience role for desktop or web applications
