We’re looking for an Interaction Designer who is skilled at the soup to nuts of UX software product design. You will be exercising your creative problem solving skills by applying UX best design practices to wireframes, visual and interaction designs, and prototyping. Your portfolio demonstrates your expertise with examples of highly annotated wireframes, and clean and simple visual designs. Most importantly you are not bound by your job title, feel confident in all aspects of user experience design and find a lot of opportunity when faced with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Program Managers and Clinical Analysts to understand and define product features.
• Design workflow diagrams, wireframes and visual design concepts for new and existing features.
• Create redline specifications for designs and optimize graphics, as needed.
• Review and defend work with UX and feature teams.
• Work with PM to ensure proper UX milestones and deliverables are noted throughout the release life-cycle.
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to help define and defend UI decisions.
• Present progress to core team and to senior and executive management.

Basic Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience designing complex data driven web- and non-web-based applications.
• You have a strong personality that thrives working with other strong personalities and within time constraints.
• An interest in deep software with a very heavy UX design challenge
• You thrive in ambiguous cultures by being proactive and creating flexible solutions.
• Successful candidate will have enthusiasm and energy to work in a start-up environment, and eager to deliver in agile development release cycles.
• Illustration skills for designing iconography.
• Strong hands-on software experience with Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of how to design within code constraints and a solid understanding of CSS, HTML, Javascript, and responsive design.
• Demonstrated experience designing for highly complex data-driven software applications.
• Follows user-centered design best practices and techniques.
• Strong positive track record of delivering on time and releasing successful products under tight timelines.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and to drive hard UX decisions across cross-functional teams.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating past relevant projects is required.
• BS degree in HCI, Interaction Design or equivalent experience required.

The Pluses
• Mobile design experience.
• Conducted usability studies.
• Hands-on HTML, Javascript, and CSS skills.
• Ability to develop prototypes for user research and proof-of-concept.
Experience designing software for the Healthcare Industry.
