UX Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for an artist who will help apply an elegant, consistent, and approachable visual identity for innovative user experiences that drive player engagement within the gaming franchise. We are looking for someone with experience in the web and/or mobile applications space who can both rapidly iterate as an individual as well as provide tactical direction throughout a product release. The role requires working closely with an Art Director who will set the overall vision and visual direction principles for the experience.


Primary responsibilities include:

• Work with creative teams to help define and drive the development of new web and mobile based experiences
• Communicate, document, and represent design direction to the art director, team members and other key stakeholders
• Expertly craft documentation to represent the team’s vision around user experience, including: storyboards, schematics, style guides, movies, PPTs and/or prototypes
• Accurately execute on a wireframe design and problem solve to achieve a high degree of usability and polished visual treatment.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on various aspects of UI/UX with technical and visual designers to create feature rich experiences
• Work with design, development and program management teams to ensure interaction and visual designs communicate and function successfully for varying technical and performance specifications
• Work with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in the industry along with a strong portfolio consisting of web and/or applications art & design (tablet/mobile/responsive design experience strongly preferred)
• Prototyping skills with tools such as Illustrator, Adobe Flash, After Effects or similar
• Wire-framing experience
• Traditional 2D sketching and composition skills
• Experience with a scripting language like HTML, Flash Action script, XML or LUA
• Data driven
• Experience working with external teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with software engineers and game designers is a must
• Independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual
• Qualified candidates should have at least 3 years of experience within design teams
• A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts
