UX Designer

We are looking for a UX Designer to work for a Web-based application that serves librarians in academic libraries worldwide. Prefer candidates with experience designing enterprise applications that are highly transactional with complex user workflows. Someone with ecommerce experience could also work.

Work is already in progress, and this person will need to be comfortable carrying forward work that was started by others without needing to change the general approach that’s already been chosen.

· Capture user requirements by working with product management, and directly with customers

· Define & create user workflows based on requirements for use by program management and development

· Produce wireframes that guide development efforts

· Deliver high quality interactive specifications, prototypes and final assets

· Conduct customer usability tests

· Present wireframes, UI, and usability test results to executive leadership

· Optional, but helpful: Extend high quality visual UI design that addresses user requirements and delivers an excellent user experience


Needed:

Expert knowledge of wireframing tools such as Adobe Illustrator (preferred), Axure, Visio or OmniGraffle.

Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript concepts and modern browser capabilities.

Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles, web design best practices, visual trends and emerging web technologies.

Must enjoy a collaborative design/review process with all team members, including project management & software developers


This position is located onsite, full time, 40 hours a week.
