Aquent's Fortune500 client in Framingham, MA is looking for a UX Designer for a 6-month contract with strong potential to extend beyond to permanent.

Overview:
The User Experience (UX) Designer participates in the day-to-day user experience engagement activities with a focus on delivering market-differentiating, high quality, highly interactive, high performance applications that match or exceed customer expectations. This position will interpret customer needs, present design concepts and effectively communicate with the internal and external stakeholders on an expected user experience.

Major Areas of Responsibility
- Interact with stakeholders, developers, architects and product/project managers.
- Conduct UI research, wireframe concepts and test and optimize new and existing UI designs.
- Participate in cross-functional design discussions and ensure that Business and IT stakeholders understand the impacts and effects of design decisions.
- Review business requirements to create deliverables, suggest enhancements and provide guidance on best-practice implementation.
- Work with business users and project managers to understand current state and future state design requirements and recommend solutions.
- Act as a technical resource and partner with front-end developers in an effort to improve the overall usability of the functionally being designed.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and write design specifications for user interfaces and workflow.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Visio, HTML5, JQuery UI, and CSS3.
- Ensure compatibility of interfaces across all major browsers such and Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer, and Safari and demonstrate in depth knowledge of developing touch sensitive applications for mobile devices
- Work with product and solutions managers to facilitate an understanding of deliverables, sizing estimates, and prioritization decisions.
- Suggests UX designs – drives the user experience
