Well known Internet Computer Software company has a need for a UX Designer in New York. This position will drive and lead critical user experiences for an internal tool designed to produce first-party content. They are moving fast and looking for a strong UX Designer to partner with their PMs & Eng teams to execute on their roadmap. This is a temporary six-month position to assist with peak workload.


Overall Responsibilities:
• Help define the architecture, user interface, and end-to-end experience for automation platform
• Create detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes following a user-centered process to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Collaborate closely with, or conduct, research to validate concepts, and communicate results to the teams.
• Work with product, engineering, and content teams to come up with UX designs and prototypes
• Communicate effectively in a UX and cross-functional team. Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale effectively.
• Take input/requirements from multiple stakeholders across different organizations. Participate in regular design reviews.
• Develop/apply general visual style and consistent interaction patterns

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
• Iterate on wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
• Collaborate closely with, or conduct, research to validate concepts, and communicate results to the teams.

Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial)
• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong core interaction design skills, knowledge of the user-centered design methodologies, and a good understanding of usability
• Fluency with visual and interaction design tools as well as ability to work within technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:
• MA/MS in Design or a related field or 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience designing for tools, platforms and/or content management systems
• Strong leadership skills
• Platform design experience
• Good sense and understanding of visual design
• Prototyping or front-end development skills
• Experience collaborating with user researchers, content strategists, product managers, and engineers
