AQUENT is partnering with one of our COOLEST clients in San Francisco to help build out a brand new UX team.

At this client they believe Small Businesses are the heart and soul of what drives our communities and economy forward through their passion and dedication to their work and customers. This isn’t phony platitudes written by their PR dept., they believe it in their souls. Because of this belief, they are hell-bent on reinventing the way Small Businesses build their business.

Our Small Business Design Group is relatively new to this organization so they don’t shy away from challenging the status quo of process, policy, and the sacred cows inherent in a financial institution.

The role of User Experience Designer will contribute to the design of the world’s most intuitive and loved set of integrated products and services for Small Businesses. This initiative is high profile for the company.

The challenge for you — bring a disciplined approach to creativity through a user centered design process — delivering world-class products to their customers. This is a company waking up to the power of Design — you’ll be one of the lead “ice breakers” showing the way forward through customer empathy, prototyping and experimentation.

The opportunity this role holds for the right candidate:
_ Be a part of one of the largest investments in Design by a financial institution

_ Participate in a Design Driven culture

_ Execute against Lean UX principles — quick, iterative, & user centered

_ High level of responsibility and impact upon customer’s lives in an industry normally thought of as “non-customer centric”

As a User Experience Designer
_Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences which balance user needs, business goals, and technological realities across platforms

_Create lightweight prototypes which communicate the intent of initial ideas and concepts with the goal of galvanizing the team toward solving a common outcome for our customer.

_Responsible for delivering UI specifications, wireframes and lightweight prototypes

_Collaborate effectively with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other team members
_Use facilitation skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you

What you bring:
_Previous experience in working through discovery research, synthesis, ideation, design, and testing of new product concepts

_A strategic lens within projects that includes consideration of the overarching customer experience, strategic frameworks, product portfolio, roadmap, etc

_A generative work style. You are able to iterate rapidly in multiple mediums and levels of interactivity. (physical, digital, low and hi-fidelity, tangible and conceptual)

_The ability to translate insight and strategy into concept prototypes and communicate your vision through your artifacts

_A strength in using storytelling to share your discoveries, influence stakeholders and create energy around an idea or an initiative

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- At least 3 years of experience with user experience (UX) design
