UX Designer

Our client, a leading international financial services company serving unbanked and under-banked consumers, is looking for a UX Designer to join their team!

In this role, you'll work as a mid-level UX Designer, working both with a small team of designers as well as autonomously to complete work on-deadline. **NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN LAPTOP W/ ALL APPROPRIATE SOFTWARE FOR THIS POSITION**

Start Date: end of June
Duration: Temporary; 3 months at 38-40 hours per week
Location: Berwyn, PA

Key deliverables:
+ As a UX designer, you’ll work closely with product managers, frontend and backend developers, and other internal teams to help deliver user experiences.
+ Working within the CX team, you’ll create intelligent UX designs that delight and engage users, helping them complete their tasks with ease. At times designs may be more low-fidelity wireframes or user flows.
+ Translate concepts, user flows and wireframes into visual designs that adhere to our style guide and commitment to excellence.
+ Collaborate with the team and comfortably provide design feedback to developers.
+ Happily work with developers to ensure design implementation is polished and behaves as intended.
+ Present creative concepts and visual designs in a professional manner, and provide rationales based on design principles and research.
+ Design, and keep a toe in the waters of frontend development Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.

To be awesome in this role you'll need:
+ Experience (5+ years) designing intelligently delightful user experiences.
+ Online portfolio of visually impressive UI designs and Smart UX design.
+ Responsive and adaptive design experience. Understanding of the responsive grid system and how elements respond.
+ Amazing eye for detail, even for a designer including an eye and fondness for consistency.
+ Expert knowledge of visual design and UX design principles.
+ Working knowledge of CSS properties, Mobile OS and values enough to provide direction to developers.
+ Some understanding of what’s technically feasible, and when to ask.
+ Respectful team player. Relaxed and determined. Problem-solver. Puzzle-solver. Challenge-lover. Knowledge sponge.
+ Confident, yet very humble. Little ego, big open mind.
+ Lover of sleek, elegant and polished user experiences.
+ Attention to grammar, punctuation and writing style.
+ Wicked Illustrator and Photoshop skills.

Preferred Skill Set:
+ Formal design education.
+ Experience designing complex websites (beyond marketing/brochure websites).
+ Experience designing mobile native apps and mobile web apps.
+ Web accessibility experience.
+ Information architecture experience.
+ Interactive data visualizations and/or information design experience.
+ Experience working in an agile environment with issue tracking tools to track daily work.
