We are looking for a senior UX Designer to work on a confidential project within the Product Development team of a huge broadcasting company.
You will need to have worked on:
- apps, devices, and multi-screen experience.
- Any experience in the TV industry would be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a design team that is creating new experiences. This is the chance to work on multi-platform designs that are at the cutting-edge of mobile and TV development, where tablets, phones, games consoles and TVs are brought together to create new forms of entertainment. The role involves working closely with visual designers, software developers and product teams to prototype and launch new features and design improvements.

The team design new emerging concept products around enhanced TV, social media and new business models. The team is made up of visual designers, industrial designers, UX designers and prototypers, working under the overall direction set by the Creative Directors and Design Directors.

Responsibilities include:
• Working within an existing design language, create new navigation models, interaction models and interaction specifications, working end-to-end from high-level concept designs to final wireframes
• Work with customer research teams to drive insight into the design process, and to ensure design solutions are consumer-tested
• Create designs that work across multiple platforms, screen sizes and input controls
• Demonstrate strong conceptual skills and the ability to create, debate and refine product designs, working with the product teams to detail out product roadmaps
• Work closely with visual designers to shape the over-arching experience model
• Ensure final build quality and performance by working closely with prototypers and software developers in agile collaboration – a good understanding of software and agile development is important
• Be self-confident, flexible, motivated and a good communicator, able to articulate design decisions to product teams
• Be able to manage own time effectively and coordinate with project schedules and other teams routines

Desirable
- Degree in design or HCI
- Multi-platform design, including mobile apps, games consoles, web and TV platforms
- Experience working in entertainment and media, particularly the TV industry. Experience working at a fast pace, either in an agency or in a high-volume internal design department.
- Proficiency in Keynote and Adobe InDesign

Essential
- Industry experience
- Experience in translating design into software
- 2 years minimum working in consumer-facing digital product design (advertising, B2B, financial services, government or intranets don’t count) with proven experience at working all the way through to market-launch (the work has to have made it off paper and into the hands of a consumer).
- Proficiency in Omnigraffle and Adobe Illustrator
