UX Designer (5+ Years Experience)

Vitamin T's agency client is looking for a User Experience Designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as
highly creative ideas to a design engagement. The candidate may also have extensive experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must.

Responsibilities
● Executing interaction design and visual design as a part of a dedicated and multidisciplinary
team (visual and interaction designers, content strategists, copywriters, digital strategists)
● Collaborating on research, product definition, user experience, design, and user testing

Requirements and Skills
● 3-5+ years of UX design experience for global websites, software, and web applications that leverage emergent technologies and mobile devices
● Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability
● Ability to create site maps (Experience with OmniGraffle a plus)
● Ability to create wireframes
● Proficiency with design and software prototyping tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and InVision
● Experience leading productive user tests and writing user stories
● Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or other tools for generating specifications
● Exceptional design skills and attention to detail
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● The ability to take an idea from concept to implementation
● Thorough understanding of the web, and its associated technologies – their power and limitations
● Creative problem solver
● Ability to work effectively on teams
● Skilled communicator who can tailor a message to a specific audience and purpose, such as
walking developers through the details of a proposed design or delivering an executive summary
● Adapts quickly and effectively to changing requirements
● Is willing to accept responsibility and take ownership
● Self starter who is a user obsessed, detail oriented, and an enthusiastic team player
● Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies (Preferred)
● Working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript (Preferred)
● Working knowledge of Web standards development and best practices (Preferred)
