UX Consultant/Researcher

We are currently recruiting for a User Experience Consultant to join a great team of Usability and Accessibility specialists in Central London. The agency is in it's 8th year and their team have a great attitude towards progressive approaches to improving user experience and developing those in the industry both internally and externally. Specialising in usability research and testing, the agency are now looking to expand their team with the addition of an innovative and enthusiastic mid-weight UX consultant. The consultant will have the chance to lead usability projects and rapidly become an truly integral part of the team.

Candidates will have a heavily focused background in usability (preferably holding a degree in Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, Human Factors, HCI or similar) and will ideally have worked for a leading UX agency in the past. You will understand the whole user-centred design process from initial research through to creating wireframes. Successful applicants will be comfortable working as part of team and give direction to a more junior UX member, as well as run things on their own when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
⁃ planning and conducting user research including usability studies, competitive analysis, user surveys, expert reviews and more
⁃ client-facing research including stakeholder interviews, kick-off meetings, ethnographic studies, user interviews, focus groups and more
⁃ creating presentations and reports, personas, user journeys, wireframes, site maps, content audits and style guides
⁃ technical testing such as accessibility testing against WCAG 1.0 and 2.0
⁃ running surveys and designing remote unmoderated user research with tools such as UserZoom.
⁃ supporting the Senior UX Consultant and coaching Junior team members
⁃ attending UX events, being a presence in the industry and an ambassador for the company
⁃ running training courses for the agency's UX and Mobile UX courses
⁃ writing at least one UX-related article each month for the website
