USER EXPERIENCE ARCHITECT, Mid Level to Sr.

Looking for a mid level/Sr. User Experience (UX) Architect to join our growing Product Design & eXperience team. You will work closely with UX Architects and designers, developers and product managers to take products to the next level.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Expert information architecture, UI and Interaction Design
• Design experience in web, mobile, tablet, and/or desktop software
• Solid understanding and application of user-centered design principles with the ability to address complex design problems and provide sound design solutions.
• The ability to quickly understand the constraints of a design problem and identify the tradeoffs; you can communicate those tradeoffs to fellow decision makers.
• You are a good all-rounder, informed by thoughtful consideration around the philosophical and practical considerations that make great design.
• Responsible for leading user-centered design activities such as gathering, validating, analyzing, and defining requirements, conducting user experience and information architecture activities, creating and planning interfaces, and contributing to the experience standards definition.
• You have experience in creating UX Architecture Guidelines and worked with other Human Interaction Guidelines.
• Experience performing/participating stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering, and user research.
• Knowledge of Web and Mobile standards, technologies, and terminology.
• Solid understanding of UCD, interaction design principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to fulfill, facilitate, or lead any or all UX/IA duties on a given project.
• 6+ years of experience in UX/IA field, or equivalent.
• Experience as a key member of a design team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of a consumer and/or B2B product.
• Minimum of 2+ years experience leading large design efforts and coordinating with multi-disciplinary project team members.
• Solid understanding of the evolving technologies and standards relevant to the execution of web-based designs (CSS, XHTML, DHTML, Javascript/AJAX, iOS, Android, Windows 8 and etc.).
• B.A., B.S. or BFA, MFA, MDes degree in a design related field.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• As assigned, assume UX leadership within project teams.
• Work with brand, creative, and technical project teams to define and document requirements (business, stakeholder, user, and content) and success metrics (quantitative and qualitative), overall user experience vision on projects, and recommend strategically sound solutions to meet client’s business needs.
• Work with producers, technical leads, creative leads, the sales team, and the client to identify the client’s business requirements and articulate them in written requirements and specifications for use by technical and creative teams.
• Conduct UX-related research, including stakeholder and users
• Participate in usability testing.
• Provide consultation to visual designers and developers to ensure defined UX-planning is executed.
• Provide consultation to project teams on interaction approach, usability, information taxonomy, and navigation.
• Assist in making presentations to stakeholders
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to stakeholders, agency employees, and vendors.
• Help facilitate both the input and output of the project meetings.
• Potential stakeholders’ contact for interactive solutions feedback and education.
• Apply, evangelize, and train others in best practices for user-centered design and user research.
• Stay current with core web and mobile development technology trends, capabilities, and limitations.
• Push the boundaries of what’s possible within the web/tablet/mobile environment to create better experiences for users.

Deliverables
• UX- and IA-related documentation, such as personas, use cases, requirements, flow diagrams, taxonomy definitions, content inventories, content maps, site maps, and wireframes.
• Contribute to pitch documentation, such as presentation slides, competitive research, and strategic recommendations.
