Location: Remote, GA, US. Must be within 3 hour driving distance from Columbus, GA

Description

Employee can work in Columbus, Atlanta, Alpharetta and/or Kennesaw offices or from home with visits to Columbus Office as needed.

Summary

Description
A UX architect is responsible for the design of an intuitive user experience that satisfies business and user requirements, incorporates feedback from user evaluations and usability analysis, and considers end-to-end user experience, including all user or customer touch points. The UX architect helps to identify and define user experience and user interface (UI) requirements and is responsible for the development, approval, and publication of UI patterns and UX standards.

The UX architect prepares process flows, simulations, and prototypes to explain the UX vision and solution to stakeholders, users, customers, consultants, and partners. The UX architect works closely with researchers, information architects, graphic designers, technical and solutions architects, and developers.

Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, general web user interface and mobile device and application design standards
- Knowledge of and familiarity with accessibility requirements and standards
- Expertise with tools and techniques for wireframing (Balsamiq) prototyping(Axure), card sorting(Omnisort), information architecture, usability testing and user research (Morae), contextual inquiry and task analysis
- Familiarity with visual design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Dreamweaver
- Knowledge of experience maps, workflow diagrams, working prototypes
- Knowledge of use case and persona development
- Strong collaboration skills – ability to inspire trust and communicate with user, business, design and technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of development life cycle for software, front end development, and back end development
- Ability to identify research-based design recommendations and present them to business stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience (technical and business stakeholders)
- Ability to articulate and defend interaction design decisions with data, standards, and clear exposition of trade-offs (accommodation to business and technical constraints)

Qualifications

Education
Master's Degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Design or related field. Formal Education in UX, HCI is required.

Experience
- 7+ years leading and representing large-scale sites, projects, and redesigns, including move from “green screens” to web-based interfaces
- 7+ years in creating and designing User Experience solutions and addressing challenging User Experience issues of content, design, and implementation
- 2+ years working in an Agile or iterative development environment
