The Lead UX Architect is responsible for being the driving force for innovation, developing a user interface & user experience practice that will yield superior quality applications.

We are seeking an experienced Mobile and Web applications UX professional to help shape our web and mobile offerings. The Lead UX Architect will be a member of the team that owns the user experience vision, strategy, and implementation for our digital products to create a world-class user experience practice. You will have the opportunity to create design strategies, develop advanced design concepts and deliver outstanding products.

Responsibilities:
Work with the development team to analyze the current business workflow, validate requirements, construct design prototypes, specify design components, and create a formal specification document
Run our usability lab, conducting research in a rapid prototyping environment
Test components for usability employing formal and informal usability testing techniques with the end result being interface prototypes, schematics, flowcharts, sitemaps and HTML prototypes, and functional specifications detailing how a component will look and function
Work closely with development teams to ensure that the creative solution is accurately translated to the final application

Skills/Education/Experience:
5+ years in an Information Architecture/User Experience role
5-7 years of solid, relevant, on-the-job experience in creating usable Web sites (preferably web applications)
Proficiency in developing highly detailed deliverables, including but not limited to, wireframes, site maps, process flows, personas, and scenarios
Usability, site mapping, interaction flows/maps, and wire framing knowledge preferred
Proven ability to understand target users and design user experience appropriate for those users (e.g. layout, composition, color, readability, etc)
Ability to heuristically evaluate Web interface designs for usability
Expertise with tools of the trade, eg, OmniGraffle, Visio, iRise
Must understand design constraints such as browser capabilities, media types, platform differences, and operating systems. Usability Experts/Information Architects
Demonstrate solid ability to deliver CSS, HTML, XHTML, and JavaScript required with Flash/AS a plus
Knowledge and experience developing cohesive brand/product experiences
Experience planning and conducting usability tests; Conduct user research and testing, summarize results, and make recommendations
Driven self-starter able to work individually and collaborate with other team members
Experience performing UX within an Agile environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience in authoring and managing functional and IA specifications
Experience with industry standard design software (i.e. Photoshop, Fireworks) and with industry standard HTML authoring systems (i.e. Eclipse)
Experience conducting interviews with business stakeholders
Experience working on web-based systems, with a practical understanding of design issues for web-based interfaces (Java, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
Experience with internal tools platforms beneficial
Knowledge of HCI and UCD techniques during design phase, but with the ability to make recommendations based solely on expert analysis
Knowledge of banking and/or financial systems would be highly beneficial
Online portfolio required
