The UX Analyst/Research Assistant should have a solid understanding of the user-centered design process and be equally comfortable working independently and alongside other design team members. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience leading or assisting user research projects and/or services and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. As a Mobile UX Analyst Assistant on the User Experience team, you will assist in research for both customer-facing and employee-facing mobile websites, mobile apps, tablet websites, and tablet apps. You will be responsible for analyzing interfaces that redefine how retailers interact with their customers. You can work in a start-up like, agile environment collaborating with a small team of interaction designers, developers, project managers and business analysts.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:
• Lead or assist user research for prototype testing and live production testing
• Create and facilitate user research
• Define research objectives on a per test basis
• Develop recruiting screeners and partner with recruiting agencies to fulfill test participants
• Define user task low for testing materials to achieve test objectives
• Work with our interaction design team to create the required testing materials, such as clickable prototypes
• Develop discussion guides for test
• Moderate one-on-one usability testing sessions
• Report and analyze test findings into a clear format and deliver to larger multi-disciplinary team
• Hire and partner third party agencies to perform user research
• Participate in brainstorming and driving new features for mobile website enhancements

Must Have Skills:
• 3+ years leading or assisting user research or interactive devices. This includes but is not limited to websites, mobile websites, mobile apps, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Solid understanding of user centered design, interaction design, information architecture, user experience principles and usability best practices.
• Experience leading user research projects employing carious methodologies
• Experience evaluating websites or web-based systems
• Provide clear recommendations for possible solutions based on research
• Ability to multitask and work on projects of all sizes
• Produce and deliver work on a weekly basis
• Ability to delegate
• Ability to lead a project

Preferred Skills/Nice to have:
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Experience with Mobile Apps, Mobile Websites, Tablet
• Experience creating information architecture, interaction design, and/or user centered design documents
• Ability to create low or high fidelity prototypes in appropriate markup language or technology
