Duration: 6 mo, fulltime
Pay: Around $35/hr.

Our client is looking for a Mobile User Experience Analyst Assistant to join our User Experience
team. The UX Analyst Assistant should have a solid understanding of the user-centered design
process and be equally comfortable working independently and alongside other design team
members. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience leading or assisting user
research projects and/or services and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

As a Mobile UX Analyst Assistant on our User Experience team, you will assist in research for
both customer-facing and employee-facing mobile websites, mobile apps, tablet websites, and
tablet apps. You will be responsible for analyzing interfaces that redefine how
retailers interact with their customers. You can work in a start-up like, agile environment
collaborating with a small team of interaction designers, developers, project managers and
business analysts.

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
● Lead or assist user research for prototype testing and live production testing
● Create and facilitate user research, including:
○ Test format: usability study, card sort, ethnographic, etc.
○ Define research objectives on a per-test basis
○ Develop recruiting screeners and partner with recruiting agencies to fulfill test
participants
○ Define user task flow for testing materials to achieve test objectives
○ Work with our Interaction design team to create the required testing materials,
such as clickable prototypes
○ Develop discussion guides for test
○ Moderate one-on-one usability testing sessions
○ Report and analyze test findings into a clear format and deliver to larger
multi-disciplinary team
● Hire and partner third-party agencies to perform user research
● Participate in brainstorming and driving new features for mobile website enhancements

Must Have Skills:
● 3+ years leading or assisting user research for interactive devices (websites, mobile
websites, mobile apps, etc.)
● Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or equivalent work experience
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Excellent problem-solving skills
● Focused attention to detail
● Solid understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, information
architecture, user experience principles and usability best practices
● Experience leading user research projects employing various methodologies, including
but not limited to usability studies, one-on-one interviews, ethnography, card sorts, etc.
● Experience evaluating websites or web-based systems
● Provide clear recommendations for possible solutions based on research
● Ability to multi-task and work on several small-to-mid sized projects in parallel
● Ability to produce and deliver work on a weekly basis
● Ability to delegate
● Ability to lead a project from beginning to end
● Sense of humor
● Strong conversational skills
● Strong listening skills

Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in an eCommerce environment
Experience in an agile work environment
Experience with mobile apps, mobile websites, and tablet web
Experience creating information architecture, interaction design, and/or user-centered design
documents
Ability to create low or high fidelity prototypes in appropriate markup language or technology
