UX- Mobile (Boston Location)

Our Client is looking for a talented UX Mobile Designer to join a growing team. Duties and Responsibilities: • Create successful mobile user experiences through a user-centered design process including research, feedback, analysis, testing and best practices • Plan and conduct user research activities, task analyses and usability testing to identify opportunities to improve UX and drive a user-centered design process; Synthesize research findings into meaningful recommendations and actionable results • Lead design activities for multiple mobile-based development projects • Build collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders to translate their business requirements into usable and captivating experiences • Develop project deliverables including personas, scenarios, navigational structures, user flows, wireframes, detailed screen designs and interaction models • Facilitate design reviews with technology teams, internal business customers and project stakeholders • Direct clients on appropriate content strategy to aid in the delivery of clear, concise and user- friendly information • Contribute to company's overall UX maturity. This includes creating and refining best practices and processes and developing standards, tools and templates that can be applied company-wide Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Inquisitive problem solver with ability to understand customer needs, motivations, and behaviors and translate them into deliverable tasks • Demonstrated experience in designing mobile experiences based on strong knowledge of user experience design best practices and mobile design patterns • Understanding of mobile technologies and platform differences • Solid understanding of research and analysis techniques such as focus groups, participatory design, and usability testing • Experience with prototyping software. • Experience with design software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign • Knowledge of mobile frameworks.• Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills • Contribute to a team environment; able to receive feedback and work designs iteratively, have a positive outlook and a can-do attitude • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple initiatives in varying stages simultaneously • Ability to collaborate with software developers to ensure design recommendations are implemented as intended • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies preferred. Education and Experience: Degree in a related field, such as HCI, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design or Graphic Design 3+ years user experience design, interaction design, information architecture or usability experience specifically in the areas of mobile application and web design (online portfolio required) Practical experience employing user-centered design methods Experience across the entire product lifecycle, from requirements gathering to product launch Proven ability to deliver high quality user experiences to customers/stakeholders in a collaborative environment Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills Knowledge of psychology, human factors and/or cognitive engineering a plus.
