We are looking for a talented UK Communications & PR Specialist to join our client, located in London.

This role offered as a full-time, permanent placement, paying between £25k - £35k + an amazing benefits package. It offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and bubbly candidate, someone with great commercial awareness and a real passion for innovation, new ideas and emerging brands, previous experience working within a PR agency would be ideal.

This role will be best-suited to someone with 1-2 years PR/Comms exp, maximum of about 4 years as its quite a junior role. The chosen candidate will be a dynamic, engaging Communications Specialist, who will form an important part of this exciting new company.

JOB OVERVIEW
UK Communications Manager to join our client, based in London. Working closely with the UK Country Manager and International Communications team in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, Turkey and Poland.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be tasked with the UK Communications Strategy and manage all PR activities for the UK. You are the UK Communications lead – so what you do is up to you!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive UK PR:
- Build and implement a roadmap for PR operations in the UK
- Build on and fully manage the relationship with our fantastic PR agency
- Brainstorm and lead the implementation of innovative PR ideas
- Provide research and written content to our PR agency for pitches
- Get to know our amazing community to source great stories, anecdotes and case studies.
- Identify and seize opportunities for newsjacking / creating buzz etc
- Track and measure the success of all campaigns, including the amount and quality of press coverage.

• Drive UK communications:
- Be an brand spokesperson, available for interviews and events
- Work with the Country Manager to prepare public speaking engagements and media interviews
- Plan and execute events, including community and blogger meet-ups and press launches
- Enter the brand into a broad range of industry awards
- Contribute to and collaborate with the global Communications Team (in English)
- Feed ideas into brainstorming about future UK and global communication projects
- Help implement global communications projects where necessary
- Share learnings and news across regions

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough knowledge of the UK media landscape is ESSENTIAL in this role
- 2 years experience in Communications or PR within the UK
- Strong consumer/lifestyle/travel media contacts
- Ability to work with international teams and quickly develop an understanding of the cultural differences
- Unwavering written and verbal communications skills
- Keeping your cool and sense of humour under pressure
- Must be able to work outside contractual hours when necessary
