Telenav’s Automotive Business Unit is seeking a highly motivated visual user interface designer to help create the next generation of in-car software experiences. As a Visual Designer in the Autos Design team you will work closely with interaction designers, product managers and engineers to design and spec the visual design of the user interface that will go into millions of automobiles around the world. Telenav creates world-class integrated navigation systems and mobile companion apps for a rapidly expanding list of the top world’s top automakers. Our mission is nothing less than to make the world’s best in-car software systems.

Primary responsibilities
•Design beautiful, usable screens across the vehicle center stack, instrument cluster and
heads-up displays as well as iOS and Android phones through the use of visual
systems, grids and UI patterns.
•Work hand in hand with interaction designers, product managers and engineers to
create world-class branded automobile software experiences
• Bring interactions to life with meaningful motion design
• Work closely with engineers to flawlessly implement the design
• Work with user researchers to identify areas for refinement

Job Requirements
• 2+ years of experience designing visual systems for mobile phone and tablets
• Exceptional ability in graphic design, typography, and user interface layouts
• Demonstrated ability to create crisp, pixel perfect UI graphics
• Deep understanding of branding as it relates to user experience
• Understanding of interaction design patterns for mobile, desktop and web applications
• Strong information design abilities
• Expert-level proficiency of graphic design tools
• A positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate and learn

Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design or other studio-based design degree.
