UI/UX Designer

Aquent's client is seeking a UI/UX Designer is responsible for ensuring each UI/UX project meets or exceeds the high standards for visual design, conforms to “best-practices” for user experience concepts, prototyping, creating detailed design specifications to define and communicate interface concepts/requirements, and is consistent with the company's brand values. The role will also call for this individual to be able to stand behind, and conceive of, new and convention-breaking solutions for the user experience.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team and show passion for creating top-notch interactive user experiences.
Demonstrate deep understanding of user interactions to transform complex design requirements into intuitive interface.
Translate requirements into defined wireframes and final PSDs.
Proficient in Web-design tools and technologies, including hand-coding HTML/CSS.
Develop and maintain wireframe & design mockups, usage scenarios, prototypes, specifications, navigation maps and other design documents.
Hold expert-level knowledge of the interactive landscape, (both mobile and web based) competitors and complementary products.
Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user engagement and session duration.
Understanding and appreciation of A/B testing and its influence on design choices.
Inspire yourself and the team around you to deliver our customers the best experience possible.

Qualifications:
Preferred: BS/MS/BFA/MFA preferred in a design or UI/UX discipline (industrial, information architecture, interaction design, graphics) or demonstrated proficiency and experience in the field of software user experience/interaction design.

3+ years of experience designing user experiences and interaction design for interactive applications.

Strong knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web design (HTML, CSS).

Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology.

Knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and Practices.

Exceptional communication/presentation skills.Good interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented, self-starter who is comfortable with independently managing deadlines.

Comfortable in a fast-pace environment.

Portfolio of work required.
