UI/UX Designer & Researcher

The product team at a for-profit corporation thinks and innovates on the future of integrated education experiences (web and mobile) rethinking how the world teaches and learns.
Their small UX-UI team sits at the intersection of learning science, business, engineering and solving problems through creative designs and solutions in an Agile environment.
Specifically, they’re looking for a full-time, UX-UI designer who's passionate about user experience to research, create and share great designs and flows based on a user-centric approach. In this role, you'll also monitor user interviews and report observations and feedback to the team toward creating ever-better user experiences.

Must have:
• 3+ years of experience in the field
• Experience conducting & monitoring user interviews with subsequent reporting & analysis
• Experience in partnering with and supporting other designers in the creation of low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity visual design
• Strong understanding of UX strategic thinking (always keeping an eye on the big picture/customer journey)
• Experience in socializing designs within the team and a broader group of stakeholders (building Google Sites, wikis, presentations, etc...)
• Hands-on experience in developing concepts, wireframes & flows
• Keen understanding of integrated mobile experiences (interconnected elements)
omnigraffle a must, adobe suite and/or other prototyping tools.
• Understanding of front-end development; ability to code HTML/CSS preferred
• Ability to translate something complex and make it simple
• Ability to take an empathetic view of the user, and interpret that into a systematic design solution & tangible/sharable output
• Ability to design with the future in mind
• Experience with designing accessible websites/applications

A plus:
• Instructional design experience
• Data visualization (processing or something like it would be amazing)

Personality:
• A natural appreciation & curiosity of the human mind
• Get excited by a problem (the process of simplifying)
