Vitamin T's client is looking for a UI Writer / Editor to join their team as soon as possible through the end of the year with potential for extension. The UI writer/editor is responsible for writing clear, concise Web content for for this national, non-profit education organization. This person will rewrite copy for tone and usability without sacrificing accuracy and precision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Writes/edits web articles and scripts about serious topics that engage high school students and educators.
· Works with content strategists, UX, and SMEs to translate requirements and business goals into articles and other site elements.
· Works closely with project sponsors to understand their needs and the needs of their users and to ensure both are met in digital products.
· Rewrites copy in response to feedback from editors, sponsors, and other colleagues.
· Follows editorial, accessibility, and other policies and guidelines related to digital content.
· Responsible for content entry, copyediting, and proofreading as needed.

Required Skills:*
Bachelor's degree
· A minimum of 5 years in positions as a writer and editor of Web content, including article copy
· Experience crafting content through the synthesis of a variety of written sources and other inputs
· Experience communicating complex information in easily consumed articles
· A deep understanding of UX and how copy and interaction design support each other
· Knowledge of how metadata impacts website content and SEO
· Experience in Web content management systems, including experience, understanding of, and comfort with the technical and workflow issues surrounding large-scale digital content projects

· Familiarity with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and how to implement their best practices and standards
