Position- UI Designer
Duration- LONG TERM contract

REQUIREMENTS:
1. HTML, CSS and Javascript
2. Backbone.js (high emphasis around Backbone.js. Angular or React would also be acceptable
3. Strong communication skills required

The Senior Front-End Engineer on the Mobile Development team will assist with the design and development of frameworks and libraries for client-side web application development, as well as enable team members and third party developers to utilize what they’ve built.
The ideal candidate considers themselves a programmer, not a designer, and codes primarily in JavaScript. The candidate has a curiosity and excitement for new web technologies, techniques, and libraries, and enjoys creating the building blocks that others use.
We’re looking for someone that shares our passion for developing software in a fast paced environment where change is never a surprise. If you love solving challenging problems, gravitate towards collaboration, and strive for quality, then this is the job for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Full cycle of JavaScript front-end development. Includes deep understanding of the DOM, JSON, object-oriented JavaScript, and common JavaScript libraries.
• Implementing AJAX-driven interface. This includes extensive knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, AJAX, and REST.
• Evaluating and utilizing frameworks for front end development, such as Backbone, React, jQuery ,Bootstrap, Handlebars
• Maintaining a complex JavaScript front end project. This includes the ability to structure JavaScript code, delay loading, and execution optimization.
• Manage the optimization, minification, and bundling of our framework/libraries using tools like RequireJS, Uglify, Node, Grunt.js, etc.
• Handle the management and administration of our GitHub repositories for our libraries – including pushing/pulling changes

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience utilizing the following JavaScript frameworks/libraries:
• RequireJS / Grunt / Node
• jQuery / jQuery UI / Bootstrap
• Underscore / Backbone / React
• Handlebars / Mustache
• Globalize
• Understanding of W3C standards and experience in addressing cross-browser and platform compatibility issues.
• Expert-level proficiency in developing against deployed REST APIs. Experience with integrating major 3rd party APIs (Facebook Open Graph, Twitter, Google Maps, YouTube, Open Social, etc) is a plus.
• Expert-level proficiency in XHTML and CSS. Must be able to hand-code standards compliant XHTML and CSS. Practical knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 is a must.
• Familiarity with classical programming concepts such as polymorphism, inheritance, and encapsulation. Previous experience with multiple languages also a plus. (C#, NodeJS, Java, Ruby, PHP)
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
