Vitamin T is currently in search of a Senior UI Developer for our client in Ann Arbor. This is full time permanent position.
As a member of our engineering team, you will develop and test web applications for scalable network security products. You will take design mockups prepared by a UX designer and turn them into working code. This job involves working closely with our design team as we figure out how a feature will take shape.
Through our agile process, you’ll write code to query our back-end data stores in order to bring a modern user interface to life. We have a strong culture of performing peer reviews of work, both with designs and with code implementations, so collaboration skills are key.

Minimum 5 + year’s experience developing user interfaces in a web environment
Strong knowledge of best practices and modern web design trends
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in small teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with writing unit tests and automated functional tests.
Familiarity with emerging web technologies such as ECMAScript 6
Knowledge of user-centered design, usability heuristics, HCI literature
Understanding of application layer network protocols
Experience with agile development methodologies (SCRUM, TDD, etc.)
Experience developing on Linux, writing regular expressions and/or shell scripts
Familiar with concepts from computer security
Understanding of, or background using, high-speed networking devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, or deep packet inspection (DPI) systems
