UI Designer

0 people like this description

Our client which supports and incentivizes travel agents to book through their global sites, has grown dramatically over the past few years. In 2010 a global portal was built out to support the program. The portal allows travel agents to see what transactions they've booked and the commissions they've earned among other things. The growth of the business has caused a need for a complete site renovation and migration into the platform utilizing the Toolkit. Further, additional functionality is required to continue to grow that business.
This position will redesign the user interface to improve upon current content, simplify the navigation and messaging capabilities, and revamp the overall look and feel of the site to more closely align with the brand. The designer should utilize existing design elements from the Expedia Toolkit as much as possible, and design certain elements from scratch as necessary. The new TAAP 3.0 site is scheduled to launch in June 2013, with several planned ‘phases’ of added functionality throughout the year.
The expectation of the UI Designer is to:
• Utilize the clients look and feel, UI Toolkit, and grids standard to redesign elements of the current travel agent portal and new functionality
• Perform detailed design of elements of the site not covered by the Toolkit or need unique experience directed by the Interaction Designer
• Provide wire frames and comps for the development team to implement
• Perform revisions, reviews, and additional design that may come up
