UX designer with strategic design background, hybrid IXD / VD toolkit, and exceptional problem-solving skills to thrive within a fast-paced, collaborative, startup-like environment. Responsible for designing the UI architecture, interaction flow, and aesthetics of new web and software applications. We’re looking for a designer to create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet business needs and advocate for user-centered design. This designer will have a significant impact on millions of customers and on the creative direction of the Digital Media team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•       Leverage market research, customer insights and user analytics to drive why, how, and what we design for our end customers.
•       Showcase simple design solutions for complex problems using UI models, conceptual diagrams, user stories, wireframes, storyboards, visual mockups, and simple prototypes.
•       Build and maintain a design language system with UX principles, interaction patterns, UI components, and functional specifications for internal and third party developers
•       Manage the design process by setting people’s expectations, driving decisions, and tracking issues.
•       Articulate design work and rationale to teams, peers, and executives for review and feedback
•       Collaborate with Design, Program, and Engineering teams from design concept to design solution, UX guidelines, asset production, and bug fixes to ensure quality all the way to market.
•       Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable digital media products in a team environment.
•       Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings.
•       Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements.
•       Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and software applications.
•       Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
•       Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
•       Contribute to the Digital User Experience group’s shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies.
•       Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and Amazon.com executives for review and feedback.
