Training Lead for PeopleSoft

Our client company, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for a PeopleSoft Training Lead to add to their staff. This is a long-term assignment. The initial duration is through January of 2014. You would be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during this time. We do have health and dental benefits from which you may choose.

Summary
Our client has added PeopleSoft General Ledger (GL), PeopleSoft Accounts Payable/Purchase Order/Travel and Expense and Cognos Reporting to their enterprise. You will be responsible for the overall execution of training strategies and activities across the enterprise. Emphasis for this role will be on equipping stakeholders with the skill sets needed to leverage the new technology and adapt to changes to the supporting business processes.

Here is what you will do:
You will build and deploy the training approach for this internal financial group including: defining the training strategy, developing the training delivery strategy, and providing leadership for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of the training solutions and material across the program.

• Responsible for identifying learning objectives and aligning content and activities to these learning objectives across the program.
• Responsible for creating a training roadmap, training project plan and detailed work plan. Manage and report on activities and tasks, monitor progress.
• Identify and raise key issues and risks, define mitigations plans and provide active oversight of the issues and risks.
• Responsible for the successful execution of plan including establishing, procuring and on-boarding the staffing/resources needed for content development and content delivery.
• Responsible for content development guidance and review.
• Coordinate the logistics and delivery of training to all audiences (materials, classroom logistics, etc.).
• Designs, monitors, and communicates results of an assessment tool to evaluate training effectiveness, including creation of metrics.
• Ensure that the training is meeting its objectives through quantitative analysis.
• Develop strategies and recommendations for ongoing reinforcement and maintenance. Consult with governance and other teams and stakeholders as appropriate.
• Develops and executes post go-live support and adoption plans.
• Responsible for the monitoring of the training budget.



Here is what you need to have:
• Experience with financial systems, knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.1 General Ledger preferred.
• Experience leading the development and deployment of training across a large project or portfolio, including experience with content development.
• A minimum of five years of technology enabled training and development experience.
• Experience with determining and implementing alternative training delivery methods based on the various types of audiences.
• Experience doing Instructor-Led end-user training in a large corporate environment.
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and oral.
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
• Able to lead and work collaboratively with consultants.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to organize and maintain all aspects of training through all phases of a system implementation through multiple releases.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work beyond role description to achieve objectives.
