Training Development Instructional Designer

The Sales Technologies Training Instructional Designer role is responsible for creating functional and technical eLearning training and communication materials. This includes ability to interface with team members to gather raw information, write training outlines, attend review sessions and create high quality training materials often within aggressive project deadlines. 

Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, implement and maintain Sales Technologies training content 
  • Leverage design and development tools and design-expertise to build training content (including eLearning, mobile learning, virtual training, video development and instructor led training, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with project teams to evaluate training needs and use this information to create new training content or update existing training materials 
  • Research and identify internal/external solutions for new learning frameworks, technologies, and strategies 
  • Partner with external vendors to project manage the development of training resources as needed 
  • Provide regular timeline updates on training development status with Training Lead during weekly touch point sessions 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 


  • Advanced concept and design production skills in industry-standard tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Proven capability in creating presentation-focused graphics 
  • Ability to conceptualize, write and create interactive, user-focused training content in a variety of formats 
  • Comfortable ability to work seamlessly on both Mac and PC platforms 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and associated tasks simultaneously and prioritize task lists to meet deadlines 
  • Organizational and time management skills to assure ability to work independently 
  • Excellent verbal communication, collaboration and writing/editing/proofreading capabilities 
  • Emphasis on staying current in day-to-day design applications, as well as expanding knowledge with potential uses of emerging apps 

Required Technology Knowledge: 

  • Microsoft Office suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) 
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) 

Desirable Technology Knowledge: 

  • Adobe presentation or web-focused apps (Adobe Edge, After Effects, etc.) 
  • Articulate Storyline 
  • Video production knowledge 
  • Experience with app development related projects for iOS 
  • Experience with Agile Methodology and User-centric Design principles
