Training Coordinator

Our client, located in Detroit, is looking to hire a Training Coordinator for a 12-month contract position. This is an excellent career opportunity for someone with 5+ years of Administrative/Project Support experience—ideally in a corporate training setting—with proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Document, track, and manage cross-program training coordination activities, delivery events, assigned resources, training readiness; including timely update of issue/risk logs, monitoring progress on development and documentation of training delivery strategies and plans, managing complex training development / delivery trackers.
• Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate training-focused business meetings, including preparing agenda, meeting minutes, meeting action items and follow-up.
• Under general direction and coaching, assist Cross-Program Training Liaison in creating and maintaining training content (classroom materials, job aids, procedures, etc.) in support of Reform Training needs as assigned
• Supports project metrics analysis, team communication, resource planning, risk analysis, report generation, and documentation control
• Adheres to Our Client’s Project Management standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies
• Performs complete range of standard Project Coordinator duties by utilizing appropriate PC and web applications to prepare and distribute correspondence, status reports, minutes, numerical data, tracking of issues, charts and forms, documents and presentations in an accurate manner
• Provides support to ensure cross-program Business Readiness partners, Training Delivery partners, and customer expectations are met
• Establish and maintain project files

Qualifications / Preferred Skills:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of administrative or project support experience; experience in a training support role preferred
• Experience with developing and maintaining issue management logs (defects, issue logs, action logs, etc.)
• Background in Training, Instructional Design, Development of Classroom Materials, Adult Learning Theory a plus
• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Project concepts and methodology
• High proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint; Word; Excel; and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of training development software a plus (i.e. Brainshark; Skate; RoboHelp)
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills, and particularly strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently, as well as within a group
• Ability to work effectively with multiple project/program managers and Our Client
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and timeframes
• Ability to interact effectively with Our Client’s representatives at various levels
• Ability to perform as a self-starter, with motivation to consistently produce high quality results
• Experience Insurance and healthcare preferred but not mandatory
• Proficient in the use of Excel - Pivot Tables, formatting, formula use, etc.
• Analytic skills to be able to listen to updates and enter them into various logs.
