Training Assistant/ AV Technician

One of our valued clients in the Energy industry is seeking a Corporate Audio Visual Technician for a long term contract opportunity.

The candidate partners with Learning Advisors, SMEs, Instructors and other requestors to schedule and coordinate training events, including ILTs, webinars, field training, and other types of events as they arise. Provides LMS administration, secures training facility, interfaces with 3rd party providers where appropriate, and performs logistical activities related to the training event. This may include reserving the training facility, securing catering, copying and assembling course materials, assisting with classroom technologies, and coordinating with IT/Meeting Services when complex support is required. Completes training participant certificates and distributes accordingly. Closes out completed training events and maintains accurate metrics for training within the group they support. 

Supports Corporate AV needs including content distribution, digital Signage, video conferencing, virtual meetings, and webcasting. Job duties will include Designing collaborative conference rooms and implementing chosen room designs. Administers conference infrastructure and planning the webcasting of major corporate events. Must be able to maintain digital signage infrastructure. Works with external vendors when appropriate to meet customer needs. Provides training and consultation to end users related to AV and PC needs. Effectively communicates and assists customers in an audience appropriate manner. Be able to provide linkage to the Global Meeting Technology team to facilitate seamless service delivery to business units or functions. Typically up to 3 years of experience. Entry level. Requires basic knowledge of discipline. Uses established procedures to solve standard, straight-forward problems. Has the ability to perform routine assignments based on detailed instructions/past practices.

Provides instructor and learner support pre, onsite, and post event.
Works with instructors and instructional designers to integrate and implement various technology-based learning tools into classroom programs.
Identifies the best educational technologies for a variety of classroom applications.
Works with a wide range of multimedia software including, audio, video, web, animation, and photo to develop materials for online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses.
Instructs both teaching staff and students in the use of technology-based learning tools.
Troubleshoots and maintains learning technologies, including A/V systems and computer hardware and software. Utilizes software such as Skype for Business, Adobe Premier, Apple IOS, Polycom, Windows 10 OS and Crestron.
Assists in room setup including furniture and equipment for all events.

       

Understanding of, and familiarity with, Learning Technology – preferably Skype for Business, Polycom. A/V experience – cable rigging, microphones, cameras, general connectivity of devices
