Traffic and Production Coordinator

Under general supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or formal training to function as traffic and production liaison between all marketing sub departments. Supports workflow and production of marketing projects. Participates in projects of moderate scope and complexity. Follows established procedures to perform routine tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform a variety of non-routine tasks with limited decision making responsibility. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Regular contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Reviews and revises traffic schedules via regular status reports, when required, due to creative art production department work schedule, design changes, backlogs or other interruptions, collaborating with all sub-departments. Assists with staff capacity to ensure deadlines are met.
· Assists with project timelines and budgets for routine projects; opening agency projects and estimating time-of-staff.
· Works with IT to resolve issues and assists staff with traffic software.
· May conduct daily traffic/production meetings involving account executives, creative directors, and creative team.
· Supports production specialist on Marketing’s relationships with outside print vendors and prospective print vendors.
· Assists production specialist with routine print projects and reprints; estimating cost and coordinating delivery as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
· Fundamental traffic and/or production processes.
· Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of creative writing and design.

Skill in:

· Prioritizing time to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and a changing workload in a fast-paced collaborative work environment.
· Thinking creatively to aid in projects with creative team.
· Analyzing information and using logic to address project related issues and problems.
· Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.
Ability to:
· Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
· Work accurately with attention to details on marketing materials, presentations, written and visual communications.
· Provide clear procedural direction to others who actually report to other managers, but who must follow this direction in order to meet expectations.
· Provide a high level of customer service.
· Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, graphics, business, or advertising and a minimum one (1) year experience in traffic, print production, or project management.

Working Conditions:

Hours: Normal business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
Travel Required: Up to 5%; Must have a valid drivers’ license and be eligible for coverage under the firm’s Vehicle Fleet Safety Policy to drive on company business.
Working Environment: Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
