Traffic Manager

Primary Responsibilities:
• Schedule kick off meetings for all jobs
• Coordinate and oversee the timely flow of all large projects from conception through completion
• Develop and manage schedules to ensure projects are on time.
• Monitor job progress by tracking job schedules, tracking and communicating changes and job status, expediting requirements and resolving problems
• Provide specific and clear direction to Account Management, Studio and Creative in the trafficking of work
• Work with Graphics, Account Teams and Creative to obtain approvals and edits of assigned jobs; make sure jobs route in a timely manner –expedite routing process when necessary
• Keep all teams informed of project status and proactively communicate any challenges that put a project at risk. Continuously update all assigned jobs in Basecamp
• Quality control all jobs
o Ensure creative work is done to specifications
o Review every job as it routes through Traffic
• Update Supervisor on all jobs. Back up Supervisor as needed
• Purchase all stock images. Create purchase orders as needed for those stock image purchases
• Review Media Insertion Orders & Flow Charts, work with Media team members as needed to obtain and understand specs for all media placements.
• Work with Production Department to obtain specs, paper samples, etc., as needed, for the Creative and Graphics departments to complete a job
• Supervise the Traffic Coordinator

At the minimum, you’ll possess deep experience with:

• Understanding agency traffic procedures
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye for design aesthetics
• Managing time appropriately and meeting multiple, aggressive deadlines
• Managing challenging situations and recommending effective solutions to resolve any crisis situation.
• A strong work-ethic and an ability to innovate and think critically
• Project management software, preferably Basecamp
• Knowledge of design and development requirements for digital and print channels
