Traffic Manager

Our large financial services client located in downtown Boston is looking for a Traffic Manager for a year-long contract assignment. The PM/Traffic Manager will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling, processing, and trafficking of print collateral, managing the workflow of project deliverables through the use of appropriate tools, resources, and processes.

- Works with Supervisor and/or Creative leads to create/maintain and enforce necessary workflow process/studio guidelines.
- Creates and refines production project schedules, consulting manager of production design and project managers as needed.
- Distributes and monitors schedules and keeps team apprised of potential pitfalls in achieving agreed upon schedules.
- Works with Supervisor and/or manager of production design to prioritize/reprioritize work as needed.
- Project manages templated/production/reoccurring related projects (ads, posters, - Investment Confidence Index, etc.) directly with client.
- Keeps all departments informed of schedules and milestones/deadlines and distributes information quickly and effectively.
- Prioritizes work to keep all jobs moving logically, consulting manager of production design, project managers and production manager, production designers.
- Understands impact of changes to schedule and coordinates work to stay on schedule.
- Coordinates details of projects to ensure successful completion. Routes all production work for necessary approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience working as an Assistant Traffic Manager or in a related role.
- Thorough understanding of the studio/design/marketing and advertising workflow processes.
- Advanced project management skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A working knowledge of print production processes and techniques (artwork, pre-press, printing) and computer design software.
