Traffic Manager

Aquent is in search of experienced, highly organized, dependable Traffic Managers.

We’re looking for Traffic managers with previous agency or corporate/in-house client management experience who will take the lead in running and organizing all ongoing projects. (Both print and digital based)

Candidates should expect to assess and help improve current process, systems, and workflow as necessary.

Candidates will also work with a 3rd party vendor management system, ensuring all other team members adhere to necessary guidelines (mainly time and status tracking for all ongoing projects).

Candidates must be familiar with all aspects of the Creative process from project initiation to completion.

Candidates will be responsible for initiating and controlling the schedule and completion of all jobs within the organization, ensuring internal cooperation between all departments including Account Management, Marketing, Proofreading, Creative as well as outside vendors and other internal stake holders.

Candidates will take responsibility for maintaining schedules that ensure deadlines are met by monitoring progress, effectively handling any challenges that may arise, as well as informing the team (including Creative, Account, Proofreading and all other internal company divisions) of revisions and changes in projects.

Candidates will also work to design and implement programs aimed at increasing department efficiency, as well as enforcing the use of accepted steps already in place for coordinating work requests from all departments.

Requirements:
• Ability to handle multiple schedules and track changes for multiple jobs ensuring all deliverables and deadlines are met
on time.

• Raise any flags necessary to maintain the smooth flow of work through the organization.
• Distribute and track all revision orders
• Route all work (comps, layouts, etc.) to appropriate team members ensuring all edits are made and approvals are met.
• Proofread work as necessary ensuring edits are made.
• Maintain an active status report of all jobs and run update meetings with Account and Creative team members.
• Prioritize deliverables, deadlines and resolves scheduling conflicts in conjunction with Account and Creative team members
• Make sure Creative knows of all final specifications for design and/or production as well as making sure Creative has all necessary materials and information to complete their work
• Manage vendor relationships as needed
• Maintains relationships with freelance and contract personnel for overflow work and specific requests outside of clients' core competencies
Experience and Skills Required:

• Ideal candidates will come from an agency, Interactive or advertising related background
• Detail oriented, sense of urgency, able to see the big picture, able to prioritize
• Able to work with many personalities and remain calm and focused
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work in deadline driven environment
• Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Degreed or have minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Print Production experience, comfortable gathering estimates, preparing files is a bonus but not mandatory
• Exceedingly dependable and professional
• Familiar with industry standard best practices
