Traffic Manager

As a Traffic/ Project Manager, your primary mission will be to drive the daily delivery of package design projects that which meet the design objectives -- both creative and business. In this operational role, you will create design strategy documents, timelines, project plans, and status reports for our clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

As a liaison between different departments, you will facilitate communication between other Project / Traffic Managers, establish the daily job tasks and priorities for the designers and production teams.


Proficiency with software similar to Workamajig, InDesign, Microsoft Office, and Excel will help to ensure your success. This is a unique opportunity for a ultra organized, high energy self-starter who is looking for a position with a world-class organization.

Responsibilities
• Maintains complete routing files for all projects
• Generates and disseminates status reports
• Tracks and updates reports with any pertinent info about client projects
• Makes sure schedules are adhered to
• Manages ongoing flow of work in and out of studio
• Complies with quality standards for the team as set forth by department head
• Works with Studio, Art Buyers, Creative Directors, Account Management and production to generate the schedule for overall project completion and updates as needed, notifying all appropriate parties
• Works closely with upper management to identify and suggest solutions on how to improve departmental and team morale

Tasks
• Attends interdepartmental briefings
• Updates schedules/estimates as needed
• Routes mechanicals/proofs to team members to review
• Releases mechanicals to Production
• Attends “post-mortem” meetings
• Participates in weekly departmental staff meetings
• Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of work

Qualifications
• Must have 2+ years of experience within marketing or comparable industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Computer literate
• Team player
• Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferred
