Traffic Manager

Our client, a leading Fortune 500 client is looking for a Traffic Manager to help manage the organizations internal creative studio, especially intake and close-out. Ensure deadlines are met. Here are the key components of the role:

(1) Project intake as projects enter the department


  • Ensure incoming job requests contain all needed information (creative brief, project plans, budgets, specs, scheduling and delivery details) is complete

  • Assign Job Numbers

  • Open and distribute (paper) job jackets


  • (2) Manage the department's workload, both individually and collectively


  • Delegate projects to team members based on current workload (often in coordination with managers)

  • Issue routine status reports to share with creative team

  • Track top-level schedule of key milestones for all the projects in the department

  • Identify and de-conflict competing priorities with the team

  • Monitor and report on the creative team's workload, individually and collectively


  • (3) Manage the traffic management process/quality control


  • Maintain complete routing files for all projects

  • Ensure all information forms are completed and delivered in a comprehensive, accurate and timely fashion

  • Function as the department's POC for questions regarding project work flow, client submissions


  • (4) Close out projects as the department completes them


  • Maintain department's archives of materials for completed projects
