Traffic Manager

This position is responsible for the internal scheduling of work throughout the agency. The traffic manager assigns a step-by-step schedule of completion for all agency projects. Under the direction of the Creative Director, the traffic manager coordinates movement of all jobs through all agency departments (account service, creative, interactive, production, media) and runs the weekly agency traffic meetings.

The traffic manager tracks and physically moves jobs from one level of completion to the next, with a keen eye on internal, client, production and placement deadlines. If changes in timing or scheduling take place, the traffic manager is responsible for updating schedules and informing all members of the team.

Requirements- Experience with the internal trafficking process for broadcast, print, direct mail, collateral and interactive projects. Able to perform in fast-paced agency environment

Experience with some type of agency management software (like advantage).

Detail-oriented, Proactive, Problem-solver Functioning multi-tasker and self-starter
Responsibilities- Opens all hard copy agency job jackets
Reviews daily work schedule with creative director
Reviews any Job Change Orders from account executives, revises schedules and informs affected agency personnel.
Works closely with traffic managers in other offices
Publishes weekly traffic sheet and runs weekly traffic meetings
Expedites all “crisis jobs”
Notifies account executives/production manager when necessary to contact clients for any materials, information, etc., required to complete scheduled projects
Communicates regularly with account service and media about the current status of all jobs in progress in creative/production Reports any problems affecting job quality, due dates and costs to account service Proofreads all artwork/digital proofs (or schedules proofreading personnel) before releasing internally or externally

Makes sure all material is properly signed off as approved by account executive and client.
Regulates time to allow for an internal review of all concepts or layouts between account executive and creative team
