Traffic Manager

Well-established, growing agency is looking to add a traffic manager/project manager to oversee agency projects from inception to completion in our San Diego office. This person will be responsible for managing every part of the project, from copywriting and design to printing, ensuring all dependencies are accounted for and the project is finished on time and within budget. This role is the liaison between Account Services and Creative – scheduling all jobs, assigning creative teams, distributing work requests, and monitoring internal time, as well as managing outside costs. T

The ideal candidate is proactive, can maintain an upbeat, positive, “can do” attitude, has the ability to work with minimal supervision, a calm demeanor, is flexible and can adapt to a variety of situations. The TM/PM is a troubleshooter, creative thinker and resourceful problem solver with a strong work ethic and takes pride in the quality of his/her work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Regularly communicate status of all projects by means of meetings, reports and daily updates.
Assign creative team(s) and designers to all presentations, pitches, and projects.
Confer with team members to develop project plans, milestones and tasks for each project.
Develop and maintain time sensitive, up-to-date project timelines.
Serve as a key liaison between Account Services, Creative and the Media Department ensuring continuity, quality and accuracy of all projects.
Maintain overall quality by proofing all materials prior to routing and release.
Obtain necessary approvals from required departments during the internal approval process.
Maintains budgets during the creative development process (hours, research materials and presentation materials), keeping relevant department informed of costs incurred on projects.
Determine freelance assistance needs via a real-time sense of workloads and demands.
Review media specs, confirm ad dimensions, file sizes, file types and due dates and ensure they are communicated through the job to the designer.
Delivering final creative, built to spec, to the appropriate vendors (both traditional and digital) on time, and ensure the costs to produce the product are in line with the estimates.
SKILLS
3+ years of experience in project and/or traffic management within a marketing environment.
Workamajig experience highly desired
Excellent organization, communication and proofreading skills
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
Must be able to diplomatically enforce deadlines.
Must be able to solve problems in an efficient and professional manner.
Possess a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality of their work.
Willingness and ability to see project through to completion and under tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of ad and print specifications
Strong computer skills are required. (working knowledge of CS6 a plus)
