Traffic Coordinator (Distribution)

Large Media and Entertainment company is seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join their Distribution Department.

The Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical operational and customer service support related to the distribution of television programming to Syndication and Broadcast & Cable clients throughout the U.S and Canada. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to meet short and long-term media processing and delivery deadlines. The Coordinator must develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end workflows and functions required to distribute product and effectively collaborate with his or her peers, external vendors and other network partners to ensure on-time delivery of compliant content. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Syndication and Broadcast & Cable Services.

Hours:
Tuesday- Saturday (Saturday is a must!)
11:00 am to 8:00pm

Responsibilities:
• Research video and audio elements to determine availability of formats, aspect ratios, resolutions, etc. in order to fulfill servicing requests
• Create screening materials, promotion and clip-licensing requests (as applicable)
• Coordinate post-production, formatting, delivery of file and tape based media for distribution of episodic and feature content to clients
• Coordinate distribution of technical support documents - schedules, timing sheets, music cues, etc.
• Coordinate tasks and timelines with multiple clients and vendors (both internal and external)
• Identify, communicate and maintain client technical specifications as required to produce deliverables: trouble-shoot accordingly
• Evaluate and process quality control reports, rejection reports and trouble shoot accordingly
• Generate work orders, purchase orders and track expenses
• Interface with internal network partners as well as television clients in both the U.S and Canada
• Interface with 3rd party vendors who provide content distribution services on our behalf
• Manage technical product and delivery data in designated servicing applications
• Provide support for on-going projects within the department

Qualifications:
• Experience working in Syndication, Broadcast & Cable, episodic television and/or feature (edited-for-television) or post-production operations
• Familiarity with file based media and tape formats
• Energetic, self-motivated, team player; collaborates well with others
• Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, technical/data-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail & the ability to prioritize
• Proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel
• Must be familiar with Metadata XML

Required Education:
BA/BS in Communication or other related field
