Traffic Coordinator

Well respected non-profit client in Northern Virginia is looking for a print traffic coordinator to work on-site with a great group of designers and multi-media professionals. This is a contract opportunity.

Position Description:
* Identify and implement best-in-class industry standard systems to improve and maintain in-house design agency efficiencies and reduce problems with work flow.
* Provide daily traffic management of assigned projects and accounts from concept development to product completion.

Responsibilities:
* Assist PM’s in establishing a schedule for each job (current and planned) based on input from creative, production, project managers and studio manager.
* Maintain an accurate status of work in progress during all stages of jobs.
* Meet regularly with project managers, print production managers and creative personnel regarding jobs in progress.
* Organize and distribute job status reports each week.
* Work with print production to maintain day-to-day file on jobs in production.
* Hold weekly (or as needed) traffic meetings to update account teams on the status of jobs and to alert them of obstacles that may impede deadlines.
* Obtain sufficient information from project managers and studio manager to distribute a work order that is complete and easy to understand.

Qualifications:
* A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required.
* 3 years traffic experience, in agency setting (preferred).
* Strong computer skills, with Microsoft Word & Excel applications.
* Experience with a computerized traffic/accounting or timekeeping system is desired.
* Candidates with design experience or skills are desired.
