Traffic Coordinator

Aquent has an immediate opportunity for a Traffic Coordinator with packaging experience. This is a nine month temporary position with a top tier global company in Dallas. 

Specific skills required for the assignment:

- Traffics packaging artwork approval in Artwork Management System (AMS) to ensure continuous flow through the multi-stage, multi-department/agency approvals. Prioritizes projects for Production Artist team and generates reports on various metrics. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to clearly communicate with co-workers, team members, vendors and management to keep projects moving.

- Chooses appropriate artwork routing in order to gain approval through corporate departments (Brand Marketing, Package Engineering, Regulatory, Legal, and international subsidiaries). Reviews revisions from AMS and sends to production.  Receives proofs from vendors and routes for approval in a timely manner. Communicates with vendor on proof approval or to address/resolve differences between client and vendor regarding proofs. Responsible for organizing and maintaining a six-month history of job jackets to facilitate location of jobs for proof approval and/or art board exceptions.

- Maintains and monitors accurate status information in several tracking systems (AMS, Agile) to ensure packaging projects are on track for meeting deadlines. Monitors how changes made throughout the project affect approvals and resets workflow for re-approvals. Communicates changing information, including deadlines, copy revisions, etc. to all involved parties throughout the life of each project, as needed.  Creates and distributes various reports to keep individuals apprised of project status (Priority Reports, Approved Art Report, and Weekly Status Reports). Reviews team meeting Agendas from Program Management to expedite flow of information.

- Guides others on the packaging process. Watches for potential issues and takes or recommends corrective action to keep projects on track and to avoid costly rework of packaging. Provides ongoing assistance as needed regarding procedures in AMS. Prioritizes workload for Production Artist team and artwork reviewers in AMS as needed.
