Tradeshow/Event Manager

Our client is an audio company in San Francisco, looking for a Tradeshow/Event Manager to help with a large event coming up in June 2017. This role can be on-site in San Francisco, with some remote days as well. Only Bay Area candidates will be considered for this position, Candidates will need to travel for the event at the beginning of June, working FT hours (40 hours/week) during the event and PT hours (20 hours/week) leading up to the event.

Roles/Responsibilities:
• Work with the Managing Director to coordinate logistics and deliverables for trade shows.

Logistics can include: booking booth and meeting space, creation of registration badges, managing housing, packing and coordinating the shipment of demonstration product both before and after the show.
• Work with vendors, e.g. exhibit house, printers, etc., to ensure timely, cost-effective execution
• Assist in creation and send of pre-show and post-show communications
• Travel to and support onsite execution and management of product demonstration room and tradeshow booth, including set-up and load out.
• Track expenses and assist in complete financial reconciliation
• Ensure gathering and processing of show leads
• Maintain demonstration and staffing schedules

Skills
• 1-2 years experience in trade show/events and/or the professional audio industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong focus on execution and results.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, and time management skills
• Desire to work with a very small team with very big goals.
• Knowledge of marketing communications and graphics helpful
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including strong knowledge of Excel)
