Tradeshow Specialist

Initiate, develop, manage and execute strategic plans for tradeshows & events that are aligned with Global Marketing objectives as well as overall company goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads the development and execution of strategic tradeshows & events that support company and marketing initiatives; recommends appropriate messages and tactics. Applies product and market knowledge throughout the process.
Manages all show logistics including show staffing, housing, exhibit coordination, shipping, marketing materials, and exhibit asset allocation.
Communicates proactively to all stakeholders and levels of management as appropriate.
Produces meetings & events ensuring consistency and collaboration while following established guidelines, processes and tools. Educates cross-functional teams, provides direction and establishes solutions where appropriate.
Fosters strong relationships with key customers, both internal and external. Participates in and facilitates project teams cross-functionally. Serves as a liaison and event resource for initiatives.
Partners with and manages vendors to ensure that initiatives meet objectives. Directs and initiates solutions in support of continuous improvement.
Tracks, and maintains budgets. Ensures cost-saving measures and spending within allocated amount.
Analyzes program impact and metrics for events. Provides recommendations and creates plans for continuous improvement.
Maintains and enhances knowledge of meetings, events and tradeshow industry trends and best-in-class practices as related to responsibilities.
Manage and ensure consistency in the brand.
Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., vendor relationships, other internal departments, etc.) to ensure that meetings/events meet objectives.
Domestic and International travel required (10-30%)

Skills: Preferred Experiential Background:

3+ years executing trade shows or events within a marketing department required
2+ years project management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively produce concurrent deliverables and collaborate across business functions
Skilled at project management of multiple, concurrent activities to ensure completion within target dates, managing shifting priorities
Knowledgeable in, and successful history of managing external resources and suppliers
Knowledgeable of the graphic design and printing processes; able to give clear creative direction, develop and work within production timelines
Understanding of basic convention center logistics including shipping, vendor services, and rules/regulations
Highly organized, attentive to detail, deadline driven, and responsive to both internal and external stakeholders
Experience with budgets and understanding of basic accounting functions
