Tradeshow Marketing Manager

One of our valued clients in the oil/gas industry is seeking a temporary Tradeshow and Events Manager for approximately 3-4 months. Candidates must have corporate Tradeshow management experience. This position is onsite Monday through Friday (40 hours/week) at the client location. Some Travel (within U.S.) is necessary.

This position will develop and implement regional and global event objectives and plans, and will participate in executing this work in diverse markets.

Key Accountabilities:

 Consults and interacts with regions and product line businesses to develop effective events programs to drive market awareness and consideration of the company's market offerings.

 Leads event evaluation, selection, planning and execution.

 Establishes and leads cross-functional teams.

 The functional scope of this position also includes:

o Developing planning tools,
o Managing multiple vendors,
o Developing and managing an annual events schedule and budget,
o Collaborating with regional businesses to determine measurable objectives to determine the return on investment,
o Developing staff schedule and pre-event training,
o Ensuring sales leads are qualified and sent to the appropriate salespersons,
o Compiling evaluation results, writes and publishes event summary with future participation recommendation, and
o And other responsibilities in line with the candidate’s capabilities.

Job Requirements:

 Prefer BA or BS degree in communications, marketing, hospitality management, event management or related field.

 Minimum of 8 years experience of global events management.

 Experience managing international events and trade shows.

 Strong organizational, planning and communications skills.

 Certified meeting/event planner or equivalent.

 Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.

 Must be able to occasionally lift or move 50 pounds and must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
