Technical/Marketing Copywriter

As a member of a nimble, internal marketing team with a tight-knit agency feel, the Marketing Copywriter will work collaboratively with other departments to translate product offerings and new initiatives into content for various internal and external channels

Responsibilities:
Work directly with Marketing Communications Team to strategize, create, proofread and edit content for various channels (both web and print)

Develop strong understanding of product offerings to discern what’s appropriate to include in each piece of collateral

Translate financial, legal or technical terminology into clear, conversational language

Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to understand business goals in order to identify and align with audience (both internal and external)

Work closely with Digital Channels and Compliance Team to vet and approve final versions

Partner with designers and external vendors to make content come to life

Project manage and achieve objectives by staying on schedule, contributing information and recommendations, connecting the right individuals or groups at the right times and adjusting to any changes that may arise

Deliver consistent, accurate and high-quality content

Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing or Advertising

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an internal marketing department or agency required

Technical and/or Product Copywriting experience required

Financial copywriting experience a plus

Possess a strong command of grammar, spelling and style

Eye for design/layout/formatting

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities

Accountable for meeting tight deadlines and possess a sense of urgency

Other important characteristics include a strong work ethic, self-starter, strong attention to detail, creative and a team player to ensure positive fit with company culture

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, familiarity with design software and email marketing tools

Forward thinking, friendly and team-oriented

Must have strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
