Technical/Benefits Writer

Looking for someone preferably who has experience writing about health insurance – what it is, how to evaluate it, how to make a wise purchase choice, benefits and open enrollment information, etc. Projects could also include change communications, print mailings, training materials, web copy, multimedia, PowerPoint decks, etc. Projects could include external communications as well as internal communications.

Temporary opportunity requires you to work onsite in Detroit, MI area. This opportunity is 3-6 months plus with a potential for becoming full-time.

MUST HAVES:
• Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or similar field
• Excellent writing skills
• Familiar with writing for print, web, multimedia, PowerPoint decks, etc.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to analyze and present information in a clear, concise manner
• Ability to project manage assigned tasks
• Extremely detail oriented
• Some knowledge of PowerPoint
• Plus to have experience writing Insurance Benefits/HR Communications

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create, write, edit and deliver effective communication materials for clients for a variety of media
• Communication with team and clients of all levels
• Manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Build relationships
• Collaborate effectively with teams
• Continuing dedication to meet or exceed client expectations

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
• Successful candidates will be asked to provide writing samples.
