Technical Writer/Communicator

Our client, a major energy company, is looking for a technical writer to develop mechanical products documentation in an XML environment. The ideal candidate will have CAD or Adobe Illustrator experience, is a quick learner and learns software easily. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and project management skills to pursue what’s needed to get the job done. Their main responsibility will be to deliver high-quality Operations Support Product Files (OSPF) that meet business needs for engineering center.

Skill Sets
•Writing and editing succinctly and clearly
•Proficient communication and presentation skills in US English
•Information gathering (interviewing SMEs, software trials, specifications documents, demos, source content, research, extrapolating)
•Information usability and architecture (knowledge of human interface, information architecture, needs analysis, audience characteristics)
In-depth knowledge of technical communication development tools
•Project management, software development process orientation
•Graphics capture and basic editing
•Industry and Schlumberger standards and styles
